As we lean into a new season, I’m switching up everything from my wardrobe to my makeup routine. I’m also introducing new perfume scents that better capture the elements of fall.
I’ve always been a big perfume girl. Spritzing on a signature scent just adds the finishing touch to every look. I also love coming up with new ways to layer different scents for different occasions. Plus, perfumes offer up an easy way to bring some seasonality to your everyday “look.” Light, floral scents are ideal for the spring and summer while moodier, muskier scents are good for the cooler months.
If you need to restock your perfume shelf, or if you’re hoping to curate a new collection, these fall perfume scents will help you get started. Below, I’m highlighting some of my favorites to wear throughout this season. I’m also including the notes of each perfume, which should make it easier for you to shop.
The Best Fall Perfumes
Santal Gray Eau de Parfum
Lake & Sky is a clean beauty brand that I’ve loved for years, and it’s now carried at Ulta. This Santal Gray scent is really good for anyone who loves the Le Labo musky scents. It smells very expensive and lasts all day.
Notes: Violet leaf, jasmine, bergamot, cardamom, carrot
Dime Dans Les Bois Perfume
If you’re a fan of the Baccarat 540 perfume, this Dans Les Bois scent from Dime is a great dupe. It’s identical except that the staying power may not last as long as Baccarat. A hack is to spray it over lotion or Aquaphor to encourage the scent to last all day. You can use the code MOON20 for a discount.
Notes: Sweet amber, moss, red saffron, almond, fir balsam
Dime Tuesday Date Night Perfume
Tuesday Date Night is the newest Dime scent and it’s a dupe for Le Labo Santal — the staying power of this scent is also really good. I recommend getting both of these Dime perfumes to wear separately, but also to layer.
There is a two perfume bundle deal on Dime and you can use my 20% off code on top of that, which makes it super affordable to stock up on a couple of fall scents.
Notes: Violet, leather, cedarwood, smokey sandalwood, cardamom
Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum
Baccarat 540 Extrait is my favorite perfume of all time. It’s certainly pricey, but it will last you a really long time. In fact, my first bottle lasted almost a year and a half.
If you wear this perfume, be prepared to be stopped and asked what you’re wearing. It’s the most delicious, luxurious scent and I honestly can’t get enough of it. Double the power by grabbing the body oil and layering the two — so good.
Notes: Saffron, cedar wood, grandiflorum jasmine, musky woody accord
Dior J’adore Parfum d’eau
This Dior perfume is a new scent for me. My husband smelled it in Nordstrom and immediately bought it for me. It’s really nice…just a light and pretty floral scent. It has notes of jasmine and magnolia so it’s on the more summery side, but I’m wearing it into the fall season.
Notes: Jasmine, neroli, magnolia
Byredo Gypsy Water
I know this brand is super popular and I finally got around to trying it firsthand. Gypsy Water is my newest perfume that I’ve added to my collection. I think it’s a really great scent by itself, but I also have found that it’s a good one to layer.
Notes: Amber, sandalwood, vanilla, junpier berry, pine needles, lemon pepper
Burberry Her Eau de Parfum
Another scent that I will get stopped and asked about? Burberry Her. Recently, my Uber driver asked me what scent I was wearing and he ended up buying it for his girlfriend. It’s that good.
Notes: Dark berries, jasmine, musk-amber
Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic Eau De Toilette
Mandarine Basilic is the Guerlaine perfume that I bought when I was in Disney World last year. If you have followed me for a while, you know how big of a Disney Parks fan I am and how much I LOVE Epcot —especially the Paris Pavilion. There are two beautiful perfume shops there where you can shop Guerlaine perfume or Dior.
The one I grabbed has a fresh and light scent. It’s another one that might seemingly be a spring or summer scent, but it’s definitely year-round for me.
p.s. Guerlaine just launched a couple new perfumes to their extension collection. You may want to check them out, especially the Bosca Vanilla Forte (I’ll be grabbing that one next)!
Notes: Citrus, basil, earthy
Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum
The Prada perfume was sent to me in a PR package and I absolutely love it. It has such a pretty, but classic scent. This is one scent that I think will be universally loved.
Notes: White amber, white musk, neroli bud
