Now that summer is just around the corner, I know that many of you are looking to switch up your daily makeup products. I personally find that keeping my summer makeup routine simple is key to making sure that it holds up in the heat and humidity. Because let’s be real — the last thing you want is for your makeup to be a melty, smudged mess at the end of the day.
Through lots of trial and error, I’ve nailed down the perfect go-to summer makeup routine and I wanted to share it with you. Whether you’re on the lookout for a completely new regimen or you simply need a couple good product recommendations, this post is for you.
If you have any finds that you love and think I should try, please let me know in the comment section below!
Summer Makeup Routine
Dime Tinted Glow Wonderscreen SPF
I use this tinted SPF every single day! It is the absolute best on the market and I love that it’s made with clean ingredients. It feels like it’s nourishing my skin while also providing some coverage — a win-win!
Use code MOON20 for 20% off your order.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation
I have used and sworn by this foundation for over 14 years. It’s full coverage and does not budge! If you apply it with a damp Beauty Blender, you will get a flawless and non-cakey look that lasts all day and night.
My shade: 4W1
Tarte Power Flex Concealer
This concealer is super long-wearing and is ideal for days when you’ll be running around between different activities. I like to use this to add extra coverage under my eyes before using a lighter concealer to brighten any dark spots.
My shade: Tan Sand
Tarte Shape Tape Concealer
This is one of my favorite full coverage concealers, and I’m sure you’ve heard about it! I use just a few dots to brighten my under eye area and anywhere else that needs some attention.
My shade: Medium Sand
LYS Bronzer and Contour Stick
I’m so happy I came across this bronzer and contour stick — it’s my new favorite and I think it will look perfect throughout the summer months. I can tell that it’s made with such a high quality formula, but I love that it’s under $25.
I use the Patrick Ta Contour Brush to blend it in evenly.
My shade: Harmony
Patrick Ta Contour & Bronzer Duo
I’d highly recommend this bronzer duo if you’re looking for a product that leaves you with a subtle glow. The lighter cream contour will help you add shape and dimension to your face while the bronzer powder provides a dewy yet polished finish.
My shade: She’s Sculpted
Patrick Ta Blush Duo
Another one of my go-to Patrick Ta products is this blush duo. It comes in the prettiest shades and leaves your skin with such a natural flush.
My shade: She’s So LA
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush
Meet the holy grail of all blushes. If you haven’t tried this blush yet, this is your sign to order it. I love to try new blushes from time to time but always find myself coming back to this one.
My shade: Ecstasy
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder
I lightly dust this bronzing powder to my cheeks and forehead for a soft, summery shimmer. It’s super buildable so you can control how much of a glow you get.
My shade: Solar Crush
Rare Beauty Silky Touch Highlighter
I feel like the Rare Beauty line often gets forgotten about, but it’s a sneaky good brand that offers affordable cosmetics. I’ve been loving this highlighter for a pop of color to my cheeks and nose.
My shade: Flaunt
Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder
You either don’t feel it’s necessary to use a setting powder or you can’t imagine your makeup routine without one. I fall into the latter category and have been using this specific powder for years. It’s lightweight and is perfect for all skin types, whether your complexion is dry or a bit oily.
My shade: Honey
Powder Puffs
I always use these powder puffs from Amazon! They are amazing for applying your makeup smoothly.
Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner
My most used lip combo is created with drugstore finds and I swear that this is THE BEST liner on the planet. Once you try it, I promise you won’t ever want to go back — you’re welcome in advance.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
The liner above pairs perfectly with this Revlon lipstick. I keep several of these (as well as the liner) in stock because they can be hard to find.
My shade: Bare it All
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb
After I apply the liner and lipstick, I top things off with this lip gloss. It’s the shiniest gloss that actually stays put.
My shade: Sweetmouth or Hot Chocolate
