Huntington Beach Family Trip

Last month, I spent some time in SoCal with my family! We decided it was high time for some quality family time and a break from all the school and work. We stayed in both Anaheim and Huntington Beach and even stopped by Disney for their 100th anniversary for a bit, which you can actually check out HERE. This whole trip was so amazing and just the refresh we all needed!

The first couple days in Anaheim were spent at Disneyland, but, on our last day, I got to relax and venture out on my own for a bit. I decided to swing by my jewelers while I was there to get my mom’s and friend’s rings redone. Happy Jewelers is my jeweler for all my fine jewelry. Of course, it’s nearly impossible to go in there without finding the most beautiful pieces, so I had to take a little something home for myself. I ended up buying the most beautiful double butterfly ring! They are in California, but you can shop in store or online for all custom things, including engagement rings! You can also shop in-store virtually for those who don’t live in California. I’ve made sure to link a few of my favorite pieces. The rest of the day was so nice and relaxing. I just ran a couple more errands while the kids played in the hotel pool and enjoyed our last day in Anaheim.

The next day, we arrived at our hotel in Huntington Beach, Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort. This place was insane!! It took no time at all for the kids to get settled in and take charge of the foosball table. The vibes were on point! It felt so chill and was the epitome of a beach vacation. When I say they had everything you could want, they had EVERYTHING! They had complimentary coffee in the morning and drinks and s’mores at night, a record library, a tricked out gym with a climbing wall!!

For activities, they had fire pits, cornhole, pingpong, foosball, giant chess, board games, scooters, and more!! To top it all off, they even carried beach amenities with everything from umbrellas, chairs and towels to footballs, coolers and beach bikes!! Not to mention, our room was stunning and even had a gorgeous view of the ocean! I swear, we hardly left the hotel and had a killer vacation!!

Our first full day in Huntington Beach was a hit! We started off the more relaxing portion of our trip with, of course, brunch. The restaurant at the hotel served the most amazing brunch!! It’s called Pacific Hideaway and it’s definitely a 10/10 would recommend! We then thought it was high time for the beach. It was pretty cold when we were there, but that didn’t stop the kids from diving head first into the ocean. I was so glad I brought wetsuits for them!

We practically spent the entire day at the beach. We found a few more food places that I absolutely loved. For coffee, I recommend Sessions Cafe. Then, for food, we loved Duke’s, Calico Fish, and Bunz for delicious burgers and shakes!!

The next day, I grabbed a coffee from the hotel’s coffee and tea bar. Man, do I miss that bar! Then, with coffee in hand, I thought, you know what, I’m gonna get right back into bed. After all, it is vacation! So instead of getting up right away, I decided to get some breakfast in bed. The hotel had quite the spread for breakfast items. I decided on their avocado on toast and it was perfection!! Then, when it was time to get ready, I turned on a Beach Boys record (that’s right, there was a record player in our room) to really set the mood for the day. Once again, we spent almost all our time at the beach. In the evening, I got to indulge one last time in the complimentary happy hour as we all relaxed around the fire pits.
