Florida Road Trip

You guys!! I don’t know if it was the warm weather coming in, but I was ready for a getaway! Thankfully, it was like Toyota heard my desperate call for warm weather and took me on an incredible road trip throughout Florida for the start of the MLB spring training. It was such an amazing experience, I knew I had to share it with you guys! You know I’m always here to help those of you planning your next trip. So, in case you’re curious, here’s everything we did throughout Florida for the start of the MLB spring training!

Day 1

After flying into Tampa, my friend Erika and I were given our very own Toyota to drive throughout Florida. After all, what is a good road trip without a killer ride! We weren’t just given any car. Oh no, no! We got a 2023 Toyota Tundra iForce Max Capstone. This car was probably one of the nicest trucks I’ve ever driven. The ride itself was so smooth, the interior was so sleek and high end and even from a girl’s perspective, this car was so pretty!! Plus, I’ve never felt more powerful than being lifted in a massive truck driving along the highway! It was the perfect car for a road trip!!

We drove to our first baseball game of the trip and this game had to be my favorite. It was the Yankees vs the Blue Jays at the George M. Steinbrenner Field!! I mean, come on! That was my second time seeing the Yankees play and by far the most fun. I loved being able to get up close and personal to where the players were. Plus, the stadium is GORGEOUS!!

We ended up having dinner there of, you guessed it, hot dogs!!! But honestly, is it even possible to go to a baseball game and not consume your weight in hot dogs?! I don’t know how they do it, but they definitely make them different at baseball games cause I always have to have at least one, usually more if I’m being honest!

With almost all my energy spent at this point, we headed to our hotel for the night at the GORGEOUS Epicurean Hotel, and I do mean gorgeous!! This might’ve been my favorite stay during the trip. The location was absolutely idyllic all around, but especially great for anyone visiting the area who wants a quintessential Tampa experience. It also has one of my new favorite restaurants inside called, Bern’s Steakhouse! I loved having everything all in one place to enjoy, especially since we only had one night there.

Day 2

The next morning was the official start of the actual road trip. We drove about an hour and a half south to beautiful Sarasota for our next leg of the trip. It was such a blast driving down the coastline in the truck with our windows down, blaring all the beach jams through the speakers as we drove. Not gonna lie, it’s been a hot minute since I took a road trip with just me and a friend and got to let loose and play all our favorite songs in the car without a care in the world! Maybe it’s just being in Florida, but it was so relaxing!

It didn’t take too long before we arrived at our next stop, The Westin Sarasota! The views from the rooms and rooftop were absolutely to die for!! The roof was definitely the highlight of this place. They have both a rooftop bar AND a pool that I could’ve laid at all day!! But this is, of course, a spring training trip so we were quickly off to the next game!

We headed off to CoolToday Park where we saw the Braves vs. the Astros. The energy was pumping and it was so nice to just chill with my girls and cheer on the players! We then headed back to the hotel for dinner. It felt SO nice to get all cleaned up after spending the day at the ballpark, put on a nice dress and have a delicious sit-down dinner.

Day 3

The next day, we had our last stretch of the trip and it was quite the trek! We drove from the west coast of Florida to the east for about three and a half hours to Palm Beach, but, again, definitely not mad about it. We got to stay at The Ray Hotel Delray Beach and it was absolutely amazing!! I would also highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to Palm Beach. It’s such a fun area located in a beautiful beach town! A top-notch stay for anyone looking to get the classic Florida beach vibes.

Our last game of the trip was at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches with the Mets vs the Nationals. It was such an amazing experience to get to see all these incredible teams back to back and we definitely ended on a banger!

This trip was so refreshing and, honestly, something I’d probably never plan for myself. I was so thankful to Toyota for taking me on this trip! I feel so incredibly lucky to get to experience such once in a lifetime opportunities like this and am even more grateful to share them with all of you! I honestly didn’t think I’d be driving through Florida in a massive truck, watching baseball games every day, but I definitely won’t forget it any time soon! It was such an all around wonderful time in Florida that I can’t wait to hopefully replicate bits and pieces of sometime soon with my family.
